More later.

Happy 2019!

Welcome back, everyone! I hope you all had a good break and found time to visit with family and friends and share some great activities together.

We are looking forward to lots of learning with Dream Team 206!

Here are some things on the horizon:

  • Students are building characters out of clay. Each character will be unique and will have characteristics of the student's choosing. Each student will write about their character's adventures and understand narrative structure of problems and solutions.
  • We will be learning about measurement: relating and comparing lengths, widths and perimeters using a variety of units, as well as solving a variety of problems using diagrams.
  • Grade 4s will be building structures relating to ancient civilizations;
  • Grade 3s will continue learning about communities in the past with an understanding of our relationships with indigenous peoples;
  • Scientist in the School will be making a visit to our class.
  • Grade 4 French will be "all about me."
Housekeeping
  • Grade 4 - Winter Activity Day - please see notice in agendas.
  • Pizza lunch is this Wednesday.
Do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, concerns or general comments.

Happy 2019 everyone.

Ms Vincent.

Thank you

A massive thank you to all of you for your tremendous support, good wishes, snacks, and presents. Feeling just a little overwhelmed with how great you all are!

Yesterday was a busy day - final catch up on some assignments in the morning, snacks, movie and class cleanup in the afternoon. We didn't even have time to make our gingerbread people! But we'll do that on Friday of our first week back.

Wishing you all a peaceful, happy and safe winter break.  Here's a little send-off!

Winter Concert

Winter Concert

Thursday, December 20
Our class is in Act 1 of the Winter Concert (and in the finale) which runs from 6:00 - 6:30 pm on Thursday, December 20th in the gym.

  • Please arrive in Room 206 no later than 5:45 as we are the first act on stage.
  • Green, Red or White tops (or a combination of those colours) and dark bottoms.
Bake Sale
Our Student Leadership Team will be hosting a bake sale from 6:30 to 7:00 pm on the evening of the concerts. Everything will be $2 or less and all proceeds will go to funding our Seussical Musical and the Grade 8 trip to Wahonowin.

Friday, December 21
This is the last day of school before the winter break. We will have a little party on the afternoon of that day. You are welcome to send some treats for the class but not necessary as I will be hosting. Please consider non-sugary snacks - there is lots of energy in this room and sugar tends to have negative consequences. Please, no pop.

Monday, January 7
First day back to school after the break.

A full and busy week ahead!
